The seminar will look at the key changes to all of the Equality Strands in the new Equality Act 2010 including:

- The New Single Equality Duty
- How will it effect procurement?
- When is the Act coming in to force?
- What do you need to do next?

BME COMMUNITY AWARDS 2010
Telford Race, Equality and Diversity Partnership (TREDP) and Telford College of Arts and Technology (TCAT) held the first Telford and Wrekin BME Community Awards Ceremony and nominations were invited under the following categories:
- Young Person's Community Service Award
- Volunteering
- Active Senior Citizen
- Outstanding Services to the Community
- Community Cohesion
The BME Community Awards evening set out to publicly recognise and celebrate the contributions made by BME individuals and BME-led community groups / organisations who through the excellent services they provide have helped to improve the lives of many members of their respective communities.
